Syrah, that dark, full-bodied, sexy red wine, is one of my favorite varietals (Plumpjack Winery makes a killer bottle). Those bold, sweet fruit flavors peppered with a spicy finish are what truly knock my socks off. That’s why I find it so strange that it’s simply not a big hit with American consumers.
