I remember it fondly, that fancy looking bottle of Lancers staring back at me from my parent’s liquor cabinet. During the holidays I was allowed a couple of sips, and it became my intro to becoming the wine lover I am today.
But I wondered…how do those 70s era wines taste now? The Mercury News tried some retro favorites like Blue Nun, Riunite, and yes, Lancers in their current form (can you believe these wines are still manufactured)?
