In today’s “good luck with that!” department, health officials in France have launched an advisory campaign aimed at encouraging residents to drink less wine.
According to Santé Publique France, almost a quarter of French adults are regularly drinking too much alcohol. This level of drinking is killing 41,000 people a year, which experts consider an avoidable death (just like smoking, which is France’s #1 preventable killer).
The health agency is advising that people drink no more than two glasses of wine per day. Read more.
