Welcome to our new series, Wine Pairing Quick Tips. Here you’ll find an easy to read and easy to reference list of which foods pair best with certain varietals. This week we’re focusing on Cab.

What should you pair with the finest Cabernet? Why not try:

Cheese/nuts: cheddar, gorgonzola, walnuts

Meat/poultry: venison, rib eye, beef stew

Seafood: grilled ahi tuna

Fruits and Veggies: black cherries, tomatoes, broccoli

Herbs and Spices: rosemary, juniper, lavender

Sauces: brown sauce, tomato sauce

Desserts: bittersweet chocolate
