I travel to the Napa Valley about six times a year so I’m always looking for new wineries to try and discover. There was nothing enjoyable about this experience.
I asked around about O’Brien and not many folks in the Valley seemed to know a lot about the place, only that they have a “gimmick” of printing love poems on their bottles. I am so very happy that I decided to visit!
Favorites Castello di Amorosa, HALL St. Helena, and Domaine Carneros ranked highly, but there are also a few surprises!
The Wine House is one of my go-to wine shops whenever I am visiting Los Angeles. I’ve been coming here for years and it still provides a delightful experience. While there selection is by no means all inclusive, there are some gems on the shelves here. Lots of great California wines too.
The tasting room is really just in the chilly barrel room so you get a nice ambiance (but bring a sweater, it’s cold in there)! If you like big red wines, you should try to stop in for a tasting.
Here’s an insider look at some of Bordeaux’s premier Left-Bank Châteaux.
