South Africa’s Wine Industry Reeling From Drought

Wine grape producers in South Africa have yet to recover from a three-year drought. The lack of rain has caused the industry and winemakers in the Western Cape to continue to struggle with low output.

According to this Business Day article, wine is one of South Africa’s largest agricultural exports, with nearly 100,000ha of vineyards accounting for 4 percent of world production. Read more.
